Winner of the
Microsoft RAD Award

The Aloha line of touch screen products has been selected as the winner of the Microsoft Retail Application Developer (RAD) Award.  A panel of retail and technology experts chose Aloha as the market leader in the hospitality category for delivering tangible, leading edge business benefits to retailers and making the best use of Microsoft Windows technology.  Ibertech received the award during the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition in June of 1997.

Judging is based on several criteria, including increasing customer turnover, reducing time spent at checkout, and reducing employee training costs.  Judging is also based on the ease with which systems can be adopted and maintained, as well as how well they integrate with other software applications.

Over 100 entries were reviewed by the Judges including national experts in retail and technology, such as Don McDowell, MIS manager of Lettuce Entertain You, Robert Grimes, president of Cyntergy Corp, and Richard Brooks, vice president of hospitality systems with Fidelity Investments.
